Ahead of next year’s governorship election in Kaduna state, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has published particulars of governorship candidates, their deputies and political parties jostling to unseat the incumbent, Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

While political analysts say the election is clearly a contest between El-Rufai of the APC, and Hon. Isa M. Ashiru of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, other 36 political parties have also filed their candidates with intents to dislodge the ruling party.
